Veterans and visitors struggle to navigate the VA Hospital’s complex layout. The current environment lacks the clear, accessible cues needed by users with mobility or sensory challenges. A redesigned way-finding system is required to provide seamless, intuitive experience from arrival to the clinic door.

Design Solution

To improve navigation, this solution organizes the hospital into specialized wings tocconsolidate related services and departments. This layout reduces travel distances and simplifies the path of travel, specifically benefiting patients with mobility or visual impairments. By grouping care into dedicated zones, the facility becomes more intuitive and accessible for all veterans.
