About Me

Who I am as designer

I’m an interior designer who approaches every project with a balance of creativity, research, and intentional storytelling. My work is rooted in understanding how people experience space and how materials, color, and layout can shape mood, movement, and comfort. I’m drawn to thoughtful details, strong concepts, and designs that feel lived‑in, personal, and purposeful. Whether I’m hand‑drafting early ideas, exploring digital iterations, or refining the final narrative, I aim to create environments that are visually compelling, functional, and emotionally resonant.

My Journey

My interest in interior design began in childhood, spending countless hours in games like The Sims and House Flipper, where I was far more captivated by building and customizing homes than by playing the game itself. With a graphic designer for a father, creativity was always part of my world. I learned Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop at a young age, giving me early exposure to digital design and visual thinking.

When I wasn’t on the computer, I was sketching in my notebooks—often getting in trouble for doodling all over my homework. It didn’t take long for my parents to realize I was destined for a creative path.

I’d loved interior design for as long as I could remember, but it wasn’t until the college application process that I realized it could become my career. Enrolling at Russell Sage College for Interior + Spatial Design felt like stepping into the life I’d been building toward since childhood.

My Design Philosiphy

“If you want to come up with a really original design idea and you want to capture a whole new design direction, perhaps the best way to arrive at that is not by acting and thinking and doing like everybody else. That’s all.” – Peter Marino (CBS 60 Minutes interview with Steve Kroft)
